A young Swiss architect, Gérard Chervaz, dreams of a ski resort in the unspoiled valley of Flaine.

A revolutionary resort opens. Designed by the famous Bauhaus architect Marcel Breuer, Flaine is an example of modern urbanisation and is populated with exceptional pieces of contemporary works of art (Picasso, Dubuffet, Vasarely, among others).

The first two buildings of Flaine get protected by law as monuments.

« Les Terrasses d’Eos » residence opens its doors as the first building of the Flaine Montsoleil, Ski & Art Resort. Situated a little above the original Flaine resort, nested among spruces, the building adopts the forms and the tones of a cosy modern mountain cottage. Inside, a warm ambiance and high levels of comfort are complemented by the modern paintings…
